Reverie by Caroline Hu SS27
There are fashion presentations that invite you to look, and then there are those that pull you into another world entirely. Reverie by Carolie Hu’s SS27 presentation at Paris Fashion Week felt like the latter; a haunting lucid dream, beautiful, disorienting and impossible to quite shake.
Moving from room to room, each space unfolds like a new scene in a slightly off dreamscape. There is a sense of quiet theatricality to the experience, as though you’ve stepped into a world that exists somewhere between memory and imagination. Nothing feels entirely familiar, yet everything feels strangely intentional. Like a dream you can almost remember upon waking.
What makes Reverie so compelling is this feeling of being suspended between realities. Rather than simply presenting a collection, Carolie Hu creates an atmosphere, inviting us to experience fashion as something immersive, emotional and a little surreal.
There is a certain magic in not having everything explained. In the end, Reverie is less about waking up than allowing yourself to stay in the dream a little longer.
And perhaps that is the most beautiful part.
